This past Friday at the Avalon was a total meltdown as all us dancers were swept away by the intensity of Tommy Lee & DJ Aero's set and the main set by Mr. Oizo. Mr. Oizo's set was one of the best i've ever seen. He played an insane set filled with electro bangers and of course a bunch of signature Oizo tracks, Positif being my favorite. However, i'd say the biggest surprise of the night, though it may not have come as much of a surprise if you follow him on Facebook, was when Deadmau5 and Sofi joined Tommy Lee and DJ Aero for their set. Mau5 and Sofi made cameos on the tracks, "Sofi Needs A Ladder," and "Ghosts 'N Stuff." Deadmau5 came out dressed as a ghost which he often does when surprising crowds on stage with a guest appearance. Unlike the stupid assholes who run HARD and Club Nokia, the Avalon allowed me to take my HD flip cam into the venue, so enjoy the videos below. And remember, if you ever get the chance to attend Control on Fridays at the Avalon, TAKE IT. Hands down the best venue i've ever been to.
