The tracks listed below are in mixed format, some are links to the artist's SoundCloud page and others are direct download links from YSI. What we got for ya is some dirty dutch style house among others, even some acid-ish. Turn that shit UP!
I'm pretty sure these first guys are Dutch, at least the wikipedia page was in Dutch so if that's any indication. There shit defo sounds bleepy and bloopy, so much fun for dancing.
Next up we have three boys from Cali who love to work the MIDI controllers. Known as Peace Treaty, these guys really bring the noise and a high level of energy to any dancefloor. They have produced some really amazing remixes, look out for more original tunes from these blokes in the near future. This cut has been remixed by Urchins. I didn't think a Peace Treaty could get any crazier, but Urchins has proved me wrong. Also, Urchins has done a remix of a track by The Count and Sinden featuring the always lovely Katy B. Not sure if the Count and Sinden remix by Urchins is the full track, I highly doubt it and can't wait to here a final cut.
Acid House music made a huge comeback late last year and will surely continue to hypnotize dancefloors into this year. The fellas over at Boys Noize Records as well as subsidiary label BNR/TRX are really doing the Acid thing big time. Below are tracks by the man himself, Boys Noize, and fellow BNR artist Bart B More, whose track, BRAP took everyone by storm last year.
If you don't know Armand Van Helden, then get off your ass and start searching, it shouldn't be very hard, considering he co-wrote one of the biggest disco tracks of 2010 with A-trak, titled Barbara Streisand. This track comes from his 1994 self-titled EP. Witch Doctor is such a great track, and it still holds up today, being remixed by the amazing John Roman. 90's House at it's finest.
Finally we have a nice dutchy style mashup from DJ Whatt, whom i've never heard of. My trusty-soon-to-be-a-father, Paddy V. found this tune for me and I loved it. I usually don't go straight for the mashups, but this ones got some good elements, such as Lil' Wayne and some funky Dutchy sounds. Keep em coming sir V.
DJ Whatt - Flo Rida feat. Lil' Wayne vs. The Partysquad and Afrojack - Fresh I stay (Dosvec mashup) (ysi)
That's it for today folks!
Cheers,
Denckman
